What people are saying about Jennifer:
'Jennifer has an extraordinary gift. As a dancer, the grace and beauty of her movement is unsurpassed. What she does, however, is even more remarkable: As she dances, she INSPIRES, inviting everyone in her presence to express and celebrate his or her own soul at the same moment that she's expressing hers. Wherever Jennifer is invited to share -- church service, classroom, workshop or conference -- she brings profound beauty, joy, and self-expression to the proceedings. It's truly an amazing thing to experience.'
Daniel Nahmod
Recording Artist, Los Angeles
'Jennifer is truly amazing. She facilitates with an ease and grace that defy her years. Her use of movement, music and language is a true gift to all who dare to release themselves to her healing ministry of dance.'
Rickie Byars Beckwith
Director of Music & Arts
Agape International Spiritual Center
'Jennifer Jimenez brings a rare, inspirational and powerful presence to her art. Her dances are a physical representation of the Divine in motion. Jennifer's performances; open the heart, inspire the spirit, and evoke great emotion!'

What is Sacred Dance?
Iris Stewart, author of the book Sacred Woman, Sacred Dance: Awakening Spirituality Through Movement and Ritual says in her introduction: Dance becomes sacred as the beauty of movement communicates the divine ideal. In sacred dance, one is found and used by the soul of nature, the energies of which are perceived rhythmically as the continuous dance of life and form.
Iris Stewart also says this about liturgical dance, the form of Sacred Dance used in Christian and Jewish liturgical setting: It is becoming more and more evident, both here in the United States and around the world, that liturgical dance can help us rediscover the profound human expression that communes with and draws us closer to the power of the Spirit of the Divine. Dance can express a deep sense of reverence, a profound participation in worship, arousing joy and union.
The Sacred Dance Guild,
The goal of sacred dance is the integration of dance in worship-by honoring the body's wisdom, uniting the physical and the spiritual. The self-generated ritual possible through dance may give fresh expression to prayer and mysticism when it is experienced through the aid of the arts. |
